Maduro: we close 2025 with achievements and goals met

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stated this Wednesday during his end-of-year message that we are closing 2025 on a positive note with achievements and goals met. “2025, I say with satisfaction, has been the year of the broadest and firmest consensus that has ever been reached before in our republican history: a consensus for life, for peace, for the future.”

“This year we demonstrated who we are and what we are made of, we fully fulfilled a beautiful revolutionary premise: when a people decides to walk together, nothing stops them, nothing can defeat them,” he expressed from the Salón Sol del Perú in Miraflores.

He highlighted the Plan of the 7 Transformations that was launched during 2025. «A method that was born from popular consultation and became the law of the present to forge the future. A method that changed everything because it was born from the strategic clarity of this people and the concentration of living, plural and, above any difference, patriotic forces.

«Thanks to this plan we managed to merge military power with popular power; two feet that accelerate the sovereign march towards 2030. We articulate economic power with scientific and technological power as systole and diastole of the heart of this new stage, and we strengthen spiritual and cultural power as the path that gives order and meaning to everything else,” he said.

The head of state said that politically and militarily, the country moved towards a new strong, deeply democratic and sovereign State. «Communal, neighborhood direct democracy ceased to be a desire of this Constitution, to become a daily practice, to settle differences and create a new common sense»

«To each popular consultation carried out, we owe great solutions and most importantly: current, lasting social agreements and the prevailing political coexistence. And along with it, peace… this peace with sovereignty, with dignity, guaranteed by its own doctrine of security and comprehensive defense, sustained in the libertarian genesis and in the absolute loyalty of the heroic Bolivarian National Armed Forces to the constituent spirit of 1999, that is: to the historical project that was born two centuries ago in the trenches and in the heat of the anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist ideas that founded us. The homeland is safe and protected with the civic-military-police fusion, which is no longer a statement: it is an ethical, institutional and social ontology that preserves national life,” he reflected.

Likewise, Maduro highlighted the achievements made economically, where firm steps were taken towards a diversified, productive and exporting economy, with a deeply nationalist character. «We overcome the rentier mentality that during the 20th century functioned as a doctrine of domination. Today the 14 economic engines advance in chains, with method and strategic vision: we eat what we produce and export products from the land and sea, for large markets. The growth numbers – in conditions of siege and blockade – confirm a greater truth: we have overcome the siege imposed a decade ago and we are in a position to face new challenges with more preparation, more experience and more unity.

In the scientific and technological field he affirmed with conviction that the new independence is cognitive. Science and technology at the service of life, social well-being, and sovereignty. “Together with cultural power, these are the great support of national consciousness and shield the future.”

«Almost at the end of 2025, I want to talk about an achievement that does not fit into statistics, but that is felt in each of our eyes: I am referring to the consecration of national identity, self-love and historical consciousness. This collective feeling was firmly expressed in the face of imperial threats of dispossession. We also saw it in the recognition of the joropo as the intangible heritage of humanity, and in the bicentennial commemorations that marked this year: the delivery of the Sword of Peru to Bolívar, and the 200 years of the Chuquisaca Decree, which bequeathed us an ecological, decolonized and deeply spiritual vision of the relationship between human beings and nature,” added the president.

During his message, the national leader pointed out that our country was not born by anyone’s concession, but was born from firmness, determination and libertarian courage. «It was the military, political, legal and ethical work of a generation that fought for the right to the future. We are that future. And as children of this time, we cannot but engender more future. This change of year is a threshold, a transition where faith, hope and the future act as generative forces.

«For this reason, when there are seconds left to receive 2026, I want to share with you an intimate commitment, a mantra, that today I dedicate to the nascent and brilliant National Power:

To God, the only one, to the just, to the powerful and immortal, I will always be loyal.

I will always be loyal to my liberators.

I will always be loyal to my Christian, patriotic and revolutionary values.

I will always be loyal to my family.

To my people—to every woman, to every man, to every child, to every young person, to every worker, soldier, scientist, fisherman, student and cultivator—to you: I will always be loyal.

To every inch of land, sea and sky of this sacred nation, I will always be loyal.
And with that feeling of communion, I welcome with you 2026, Year of the Admirable Challenge, with the decision to surpass our feats, to surpass ourselves. To definitively free the country from the inequality inherited from rentism and submission. To consolidate the social and political rights of popular power. “To strengthen technical and military development that guarantees irreversible independence from imperial doctrines.”

He emphasized that: «We already have our campaign boots on to go through, like the Liberators in that campaign that founded a continent (…) And here, in the Salón del Sol of Peru, with my wife Cilia, while I contemplate the works that guard our memory, history dictates like an oracle. Above is the 5-pointed star: The Dawn and the Night, which is the perfect metaphor for the time we live in. The night retires without fatigue; The dawn advances with serenity and certainty. In front of us, Bolívar rides incessantly and victoriously through Boyacá, crossing history, opening the path of the homeland, demanding more homeland and more path from us. And further down the sword that certifies him as the father of a continent, creator of a new world. Every diamond on that sword, every inch and every ounce of silver, shines without fear, because it was forged for justice and truth. And guarding the rearguard is Antonio José de Sucre, the undefeated Grand Marshal, with his tanned skin, getting ready for a new Ayacucho. From these walls that are mirrors, from these colors that dye our blood, from these sacred deeds that silently remind us of the past and announce the future: the history of a people that comes from luminous sacrifices, endowed with a character that does not know renunciation; fight and persist until you win, yesterday, today, tomorrow and always (…) We are going towards our own dawn, sovereign and creative, as only the sons and daughters of the sun can do: the heirs of its light. For us, those who do not wait for the dawn, but create the new dawn, victory is not a promise: it is our destiny.

Finally, the dignitary offered to say goodbye to the Venezuelan people in 2025 with the original flag of Colombia the Great, of the victorious army of Peru, so that we can embrace it.

«Happy New Year, Venezuela. “2026 awaits us,” the president concluded.
