Maduro: Venezuela is prepared to continue receiving Russian investment

Venezuela is prepared to continue receiving international investment from Russia and thus continue strengthening bilateral trade, assured the First National President, Nicolás Maduro.

During a bilateral meeting, within the framework of the XVI BRICS Summit, with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, the Head of State emphasized that our country has the conditions to deepen the alliance, in all fields, between business sectors of both nations.

“Our entire delegation is prepared for us to advance on bilateral cooperation issues,” Maduro emphasized, while recalling that on November 7, the joint Russia-Venezuela intergovernmental commission will meet, which has “a very specific map.”

In this sense, he highlighted that Russia and Venezuela have built indestructible political and moral ties that have been tested in recent years, in various scenarios.

Likewise, the president highlighted the battle that the Eurasian giant is fighting against fascism and the victories it has obtained in the battles they have fought on the economic, scientific, cultural, military, political and diplomatic fronts.

“We are very proud of the friendship with you and with Russia. “We are prepared to continue advancing,” Maduro highlighted.

Trusted Partner

For his part, the Head of State of the Eurasian giant, Vladimir Putin, assured that Venezuela is the “oldest and most reliable” partner that his country has in Latin America.

In this sense, he highlighted that, thanks to these bilateral relations, Russia supports Venezuela’s aspirations to join the Brics bloc.

Likewise, Putin stressed that both nations are jointly carrying out a series of projects in the energy, pharmaceutical, transportation sectors, the peaceful use of outer space, and the use of new technologies.

“Russia and Venezuela together seek to form a new, more just world based on the rule of law without the need to use neocolonial approaches to interfere in the internal affairs of other States,” he highlighted.
