«After this macabre offensive and the imperial perversity of these last weeks, our people have reinvented themselves, our people have not let their right to happiness be taken away. Whatever the threat, you must always have nerves of steel, calm and sanity and maximum unified action,” stated the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during a meeting held at the Miraflores Palace with the parliamentarians who participated in the Meeting of Parliamentary Diplomacy at the Service of Peace.
The head of state highlighted that the people of Venezuela are prepared and organized to defend peace and sovereignty in the face of imperial threats. “We tell the world: peace will continue to triumph here,”
He reported that this weekend 5,336 community assemblies of the communes will be held throughout the national territory to build their projects towards the communal elections on November 23. «And that is what the rancid oligarchies want to take away from the people, they want to take away their power from the people. But the people respond to the threats, acting, advancing, exercising their popular sovereignty in perfect union, with the perfect triad: people, Bolivarian National Armed Forces and police forces.
He assured that these assemblies will be attended by the officers of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, as well as political leaders of the country. “To review the functioning of the Bolivarian militias, which is the liberating army of the 21st century; millions of men and women willing to fight for the right to peace,” he said.
He foresaw the victory of the people organized together with the country’s military and police forces. “Our victory will be the victory of all of Our America, against the imperial lie,” he reiterated.
On the other hand, Maduro also denounced the historical double standards of the powers: “Revolutionaries and Bolivarians have always been branded as ‘bad.'” The imperial supremacists are the “good ones”, the ones who supposedly bring democracy and come to save us. Latin America knows this well, in Chile, Guatemala, Haiti, now dismembered by more than 10 gringo interventions. Imperial perversity still exists,” he said.
Venezuela is innocent
The President once again reaffirmed his thesis and reaffirmed it before the parliamentarians present at the meeting called by himself regarding the development of the Meeting of Parliamentary Diplomacy at the Service of Peace that “Venezuela is innocent,” and that imperialism only seeks to justify a war “to steal our wealth and generate a regime change,” reiterated the first national leader.
If Venezuela did not have oil, gas, gold, water, millions of arable hectares and our strategic geographical position, perhaps they would not even name us. We continue on the path of peace, for the dignity and truth that we will continue to defend.
In his opinion, many of those who attack us do not even know where Venezuela is, “but they have a pre-established story, but Venezuela has a truth and a powerful history and we will continue to triumph along the path of peace. The Truth of Venezuela will continue to lead the way today, tomorrow and always. “Venezuela is well prepared to have sovereignty, peace and truth.”
«I was not trained at the School of the Americas, I was not trained to be a dictator. I trained in the high schools of Caracas, in the neighborhoods, in the union assemblies and, later, I trained with the great democratizer of Venezuelan life, Hugo Chávez, that was our school,” he stated.
With the arrival of Commander Chávez to power, Venezuela has experienced more than two hundred conspiracies and threats, Chávez suffered many of them; On April 12, 2002, the right dissolved all powers, ignoring the will of the Venezuelan people.
The strength of the unity of the region
President Nicolás Maduro urged those present to turn the Parliamentary Meeting of the Greater Caribbean into the starting point for a great continental alliance in defense of peace and sovereignty.
«This first EParliamentary meeting of the Greater Caribbean “becomes a great convener for a great meeting of social movements, political forces, parliamentarians and authorities of Latin America and the Caribbean to defend the right to peace of our continent.”
The Head of State specified the urgency of this meeting by urging that the meeting be held before the end of this year. “All the living forces of our American continent must meet again to say peace and respect to the people of Latin America, to Venezuela, to Colombia, to South America and the Caribbean”, ratifying the integrative and pacifist vision of the Bolivarian Revolution.
