The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduroassured this Thursday that Venezuela is in victory, at peace and more united than ever.
“In these years of struggle they have not been able to defeat this people, who are already empowered and are a conscious people,” he expressed.
From the Balcony of the People in the Miraflores Palace, from where he received the Venezuelan people who marched this Thursday to commemorate the 67 years of the civil-military rebellion of January 23, 1958, the head of State highlighted that this Thursday the Exercises continue of the Bolivarian Shield 2025, which is a way to be alert to internal and external threats. “We must be prepared to defend peace!”
In that sense, the Dignitary highlighted the demonstration of strength and power of the Homeland; “They have tried to threaten us, and I tell you from this balcony of the people, this is Chávez’s balcony and if Maduro is here, Chávez is here with Maduro and with the people.”
“This town remembers and loves Chávez. I have inherited many things from Chávez: the threats, the attacks and the aggressions, but the most beautiful thing I have inherited from the struggle of my father Hugo Chávez is the love and loyal support of the people, and I say with it: Love with love is paid; “The love of the people has always been repaid with more love and it will always be that way,” said the national leader.
He highlighted the success of the Bolivarian Shield Exercise 2025, an action that is part of the permanent preparation of the National Government and the people, in the armed struggle to defend peace and democracy in Venezuela in the face of internal and external threats.
“It has been a wonderful day. On January 22 we began the exercises to defend democracy, sovereignty and peace. Bolivarian Shield 2025 throughout the country, more than 290 territorial defense actions (…) We are permanently preparing for the armed struggle in defense of democracy, peace, institutions, stability and the right of the future of Venezuela,” he assured.
In that sense, he reiterated that the National Government and the Venezuelan people are prepared to defend peace, “advancing on the offensive”, to guarantee it against the terrorists who seek to destabilize the Nation, among them the criminal Wilexis Alexander Acevedo Monasterios, alias The Wilexiskilled this January 22 by a commission from the Corps of Scientific Criminal and Criminalistic Investigations (Cicpc).

During his speech, President Maduro reported that within the framework of the first National Popular Consultation of this year 2025, 36 thousand projects that have been nominated by the communities are already registered with the National Electoral Council (CNE).
“On February 2, 2025, there will be a great celebration of true democracy,” he said.
He added that these elections will be held in the 5,334 communal circuits of the country, for popular consultation of the proposals that the representatives of each circuit have designed.
“We are making the Venezuela that Chávez dreamed of a reality in the year 2025. This is called direct, true and popular democracy,” the President emphasized.
It is important to remember that this year six (6) popular consultations will be held, of which four (4) are for community projects, one (1) for a youth project and one (1) for cultists in the country.
In this context, Maduro stated in relation to the participatory and leading democracy that Venezuela has, the following: “They want to see a true democracy and empowered people, look at the people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which shines in the firmament of the history of the 21st century.
On the other hand, Maduro highlighted that the Bolivarian Revolution has a country project, a historical legacy to defend; “Let’s not deviate from our objectives.”
In this regard, he announced the activation of two new Ts of the Great Transformations Plan to strengthen the social revolution, technology, the great missions, and public services of the country.
Within the two (2) new transformations, the following are found:
- Second transformation: It raises the development of issues linked to scientific and technological sovereignty, which are very clearly connected to a vision of decolonization and science and technology applied to a sovereign productive system.
- Fourth transformation: This outlines the construction of an egalitarian and just society, as well as the vision of human rights of the Constitution and the public and universal nature of health, education, satisfaction as a social demand and not a commodity of housing, food, Need satisfaction and the quest system, grand quests and new generation quests.
Likewise, he ordered the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, the PSUV, to organize a congress to develop the method that will be used to elect the candidates for the National Assembly. “I invite the Great Patriotic Pole to join in this task.”
