The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that “Venezuela has its own military doctrine, with a strategic and defense concept,” after a working meeting with the commanders of the superior and tactical units (UST) of the National Armed Forces. Bolivarian (FANB).
He highlighted along the same lines that, through the popular vote, “we assume the Bolivarian character of our republic,” remembering that “today we are walking with good memories, 26 years since that victory that early opened the paths of the 21st century, many were said. times and it was thus that the Venezuelan 20th century began late,” the head of state recalled, while highlighting how the people with their conscience elected “Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez as president of Venezuela.”
“With Chávez, also, the people arrived to begin a new era in our homeland of emancipation,” he stated.
He maintained that, in this meeting with the commanders of the UST of the FANB, “we will articulate the defense plans, of territorial integrity, in the face of the constant threat from extremist and violent sectors.”
He specified that in the “Bicentennial era we have a FANB refounded and in the process of construction. Today, with clarity and firmness we can say before the world that it is neither imperialist nor imposed, nor is it an imitation of any other.”
All this, he added, is so that Venezuela continues its course in peace. “The FANB is the greatest guarantee of security, peace and tranquility for the people,” he said.
The national leader took advantage of the occasion to urge the FANB Officers to study and prepare themselves in the knowledge of the Venezuelan military doctrine, to recognize, he reiterated, that this own military doctrine, “is not foreign nor is it imperialist.”
In the meeting with the FANB, Maduro argued that “if at some point in the republican life of Venezuela, after the first independence day 200 years ago, the love for the country and the absolute will to defend our rights were put to the test.” to peace, to the future and to life, is this moment of republican life.”
