Maduro urges the union of the Global South to defend Palestine

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, urged the creation of a powerful union of the Arab peoples and the Global South to defend the Palestinian people.

“We must create a powerful union of the Arab and Muslim peoples, of the people of the Global South and of the world, in the streets, of permanent opinion, of brave governments to defend the Palestinian people. International law has to prevail,” said the first national leader this Monday in the 65th edition of the Con Maduro + program, in which he received a delegation of foreign legislators who participate in the Parliamentary Forum World Against Fascism, Neofascism and Similar Expressions.

Maduro regretted that the ancient people of Palestine are subjected to a war of extermination. Furthermore, he argued that the Prime Minister of the Zionist State of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, is the expression of revenge, hatred and death.

He denounced that the situation in Palestine It has become a “big business” for the American military industry that has raised its shares and profits. He also denounced the extermination of thousands of Palestinian families with the use of Artificial Intelligence: “they are testing weapons (…) they test weapons by exterminating men, women, boys and girls. “We are witnessing, live and direct, a genocidal war in the greatest expression of fascism that has been seen since Hitler,” he stated.

For his part, the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, highlighted that one of the proposals, collected during the deliberations at the Forum, is the establishment of a parliamentary chapter of the Antifascist League.

He added that there are seven working groups in which they debate topics such as the legislation that must be addressed to prevent fascist expressions, as well as the impact of social networks on the rise of extremist movements of this type.

Likewise, Tanía Díaz, head of the Homeland Bloc of the AN, highlighted that the parliamentarians who gathered at the Anti-Fascist Forum realized the need to weave networks of communication and action, as well as legislate by consensus to stop the onslaught of fascism.
