The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, affirmed this Monday that Washington’s Trumpist strategy to “defeat us” failed. “It crashed against the democratic functioning of this Republic.”
In this sense, Maduro questioned that the recognition of this failure by US representatives and their tentacles in Venezuela is very far away, because they lack sufficient intelligence and courage to “collect the broken glass.”
“It failed and someone has to pick up the broken glass in Washington. It seems that there are no volunteers with enough intelligence and courage to pick up the broken glass. They secretly try to act without showing their faces, without the purpose of amendment, without self-criticism”, because “the US empire and its representatives in Venezuela do not have an iota of shame to make self-criticism, the purpose of amendment, rectification, and say: we were wrong , we crashed in Venezuela,” said President Maduro.
During the receipt of the notification of the Beginning of the Period of Sessions 2023 – 2024 of the National Assembly (AN), the Head of State responded to Brian Nichols, Undersecretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs of the US Department of State, that in Venezuela the National Assembly exercises the Legislative Power.

In this regard, the Dignitary reiterated that if the US wants to know which institution legislates in Venezuela, it has to deal with the direct board of the AN that President Jorge Rodríguez has. “The rest is Narnia, the rest is a farce, the rest is a failure, simple failure, of an improvised policy full of desires for revenge and other ill-gotten, ill-conceived interests that cause shame.”
The national President stressed that those who requested the sanctions, those who still maintain the false institutions to steal State resources abroad, “do not come to pontificate on behalf of something that does not belong to them: the rights of our people.”
He stressed that, despite the US narrative to destabilize the country’s institutions, the Venezuelan people know that the AN that legislates constitutionally is the one elected in December 2020.
On the other hand, Maduro reported that in the coming days he will attend the Federal Legislative Palace to present his annual message for 2022. “I have coordinated with the President of the National Assembly to go to the Federal Legislative Palace to render a constitutional account of the balance of the year 2022. Record growth Venezuelan economy
