Maduro together with the people: We have defeated the stigma of betrayal

The Venezuelan people were present outside the Miraflores Palace to celebrate with the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, his swearing-in as Constitutional President for the period 2025-2031.

From the presidential stage, the National President recalled the betrayal that took the life of the people’s general Ezequiel Zamora 165 years ago, as well as those that ended the project of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, and affirmed that the curse of betrayal in the country was defeated.

“The town’s original project was postponed by betrayal. Chávez arrived 200 years later and taught us the value of absolute loyalty, bravery, patriotism, and the decision to fight for what is ours,” he expressed to the gathered crowd.

In this regard, the head of state reiterated that this January 10 “we have defeated the stigma of betrayal of the people. There has not been nor will there be betrayal of the people. We have defeated the curse of betrayal. Today I have complied as a man of the people, as a citizen, I have complied with the Constitution,” he stated.

Maduro recalled that it was Commander Hugo Chávez who taught them the value of absolute loyalty, bravery, patriotism and the decision to fight for what is ours.

“We are where 12 years ago we all swore by Chávez (…) We are pure feeling, permanent love for the Homeland, for humanity.

He highlighted the support of more than 125 delegations, governments and people full of courage, solidarity and support for Venezuela. “A world different from the old empires has been born.”

Victory of the Venezuelan people

The president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, congratulated the victory of the Venezuelan people with the re-election of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, while praising the role of youth within the revolutions.

Speaking before the crowd that celebrated his swearing-in with the head of state, Ortega recalled the fight of the young Nicaraguan Andrés Castro against the imperialist invaders in his country, who sought to take over the people’s natural resources and imposed a president through a fraudulent election. and compared that confrontation to the biblical confrontation between David against Goliath.

Likewise, he praised the victory of the Venezuelan people with the re-election of President Nicolás Maduro, which he described as another triumph of David against Goliath, and affirmed that the enemy is still the same one that tried to subdue Nicaragua at that time.

“Our David is called the heroic Venezuelan people, son of Bolívar. “God with us, who is against,” said President Nicolás Maduro in response to this expression.

Ortega continued his words by stating that, despite the fact that for today imperialism had planned to impose another character in Venezuela, the one who is present before the people “is the revolutionary hero Nicolás Maduro, and here is Chávez, and here is Bolívar and here are the Venezuelan heroes.”

During his speech, the Nicaraguan president especially praised the role of youth and their commitment, awareness, dedication and fight for sovereignty and independence to forge a better future, as well as their important role within revolutions throughout history. .

Oath

During the meeting with the people, Maduro took an oath to thousands of men and women of all ages who committed to being loyal to the re-elected president, to the anti-imperialist project of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, and to fight until they defeat the imperial oligarchic fascism that threatens Venezuela.

The president recalled that, after having been inaugurated in the National Assembly, with the ratification of loyalty of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the police forces, with the country at peace and the fascist madness defeated, the only thing missing was the oath of the men and women of good will who accompanied this historic day from all corners, reports the State channel.

“Let us take, under the sky of Caracas today, January 10, 2025, under this wonderful and bright sun, receiving the blessings of heaven, of the Creator, an oath of commitment of the president-people to the people-president, for now and forever. And forever!

“Repeat with me: wherever you are, raise your hand, turn on your heart, feel in your soul that a new era has arrived, a new historical time, that we are victorious and future horizons are open and blessed and miraculous times have arrived for our country. “, he invited, and then intoned the words of the popular oath that was made:

“I swear, as a Bolivarian and Chavista people; I swear in the name of the Liberators of America; I swear by Guaicaipuro and Pedro Camejo the Black First; I swear by the general of the town Ezequiel Zamora; I swear by our Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez Frías; absolute loyalty to the historical project of Bolívar.”

“I swear to continue the process of building a powerful Venezuela, of a new economic model that gives us prosperity, of a social model of socialism and equality; I swear to consolidate Popular Power.”

“I swear to consolidate the popular-military-police fusion, and I swear to fight, as warriors of peace, any fascist conspiracy, no matter where it comes from; “I swear to fight and fight until fascism and imperial conspiracies are defeated and I swear to defend my country’s right to peace and the future.”

“Today I swear with Maduro, today I swear by the country. “Army of light, sworn in to advance in the years to come,” he concluded, with thousands of people applauding the head of state.
