“Venezuela is hope, it is a guarantee of security for the entire American continent,” as expressed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in response to the government of the United States (USA), which has maintained 22 weeks of threats and aggressions against the country.
«In the last 22 weeks, Venezuela has been threatened and attacked by imperialism. These are illegal actions against our country that do not pose a threat to the United States,” he denounced.
During the inauguration of the Police Services Academy of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), the head of State explained that the threat of imperialist military aggression in the Caribbean Sea is a violation of international laws in light of the United Nations charter and world law.
“It is disproportionate, absolutely disproportionate, extravagant, I have said, and unnecessary because Venezuela has not been, is not and will never be a threat to the United States of America, on the contrary,” he said.
Maduro highlighted that in Venezuela a comprehensive power has been born that manages to aggregate all the forces of society so that the Homeland is on track and built on all battle fronts with strength, ingenuity, effort and innovation.
In this sense, he exalted that only the Bolivarians and Revolutionaries are the ones who guarantee, in this century, independence, the existence of the Republic and comprehensive security, so that the people of Venezuela have peace and stability forever.
Venezuela is not subordinated
This Thursday, the executive vice president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, stated during her speech in the National Assembly that despite the siege, the blockade and the threats, Venezuela “is emancipated (…) there is no submission, there is no subordination, so that you can understand it».
Rodríguez said that Venezuelans were “tattooed” by Father Liberator’s proclamation in 1818 before the Congress of Angostura and that currently Venezuelans have “reinvented” themselves.
He said that “in the midst of the psychological terrorism” that the country has experienced in more than 23 weeks of a “dangerous” deployment of US military forces in the Caribbean Sea, despite threats and attacks, Venezuela is standing.
The vice president argued that the hemisphere has had numerous “interventions, invasions, coups d’état and the most sophisticated new forms of electoral fraud that we know to attack and seize political power in countries like Ecuador, for example, where there was electoral fraud so that drug trafficking continued to prevail.”
He pointed out that the Government has not hesitated to uphold the truth about Venezuela. «Everything else is a bunch of lies to justify an intervention and as the president denounced before the OPEC and OPEC + countries, it is a bunch of lies to get hold of Venezuela’s energy resources. “Of the vastest oil reserve that exists in the entire world,” he warned.
He recalled that Venezuela has the largest oil reserve in the world. «The only one with that volume, with that amount of oil so historically desired by the United States of America. And that is why when we study history, we know what it has been like to have a sovereign policy over our energy resources or surrenderist policies.
