From the Miraflores Palace where a meeting was held with the board of directors of the 2020 National Assembly and other state officials, Maduro expressed a message to the US official: “They may say that they recognize certain power to the National Assembly of Narnia, with its term expired in 2021, but Venezuela knows that the National Assembly elected in December 2020 is the one who legislates”he assured.

For his part, the president of the AN 2020, Jorge Rodriguezsaid that the notification of the opening of the 2023-2024 Period of Sessions is “the expression of the normal functioning of the Public Powers in Venezuela, of unrestricted respect for those established in the Constitution.”
He explained that they will accompany, through the established Special Legislative Plan, “the Government in the sense of adjusting and coupling the laws on economic matters, the Communal Power and the special laws for workers.”
