Genetic improvement laboratory

Also, during the same activity, through a televised contact, President Maduro inaugurated the plant genetic laboratory of the agricultural biotechnology center of the Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Research (IVIC), which is unique of its kind in the country and meets all the conditions to guarantee biosecurity.

David Coll, IVIC’s deputy director, said that this new centre is made up of 5 laboratories to carry out research related to animal nutrition, health and reproduction; generation of culture media and genetic improvement of plants.
