The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, accompanied by the First Combatant, Cilia Flores, the Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López, and the First Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, honored Commander Chávez at the monument in the Flower of the Four Elements.
With a red rose in hand, they surrounded the sarcophagus where the mortal remains of chavez and faces where a laconic gaze was reflected, gave the impression that they left, not only the rose, but thought in which they renewed their commitment to continue in the revolutionary battle.

“There is only one way to sow values and it is with practiced and multiplied example. In politics, not only a good pen or good verse is worth it, our behavior and example is what the wind will never take away, it will be the moral example of each of the men and women who lead this cause that will last,” he said.
Maduro stressed that Chávez sowed in the people an awareness of anti-imperialist rebellion and a conscience of patriotism for Venezuela, “he sowed an awareness of solidarity among and with the peoples of the world, an awareness of work and commitment to do things well, a Absolute ethics and morality as a new way of doing politics, with ethics at the service of the people, not to serve themselves or groups and corruption. The Commander left us Homeland, people and a consolidated civic-military union ”, he sentenced.

In his opinion, ten years after the physical departure of the Commander Chavez“we can say that always together, the people and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, we have built a powerful base on which we can set ourselves the greatest goals and lead our country to a splendorous future of brilliance and happiness.
“We have come to speak, here in front of Chávez, 10 years after the struggle, commitment, perseverance, union, to give our lives for our country so that it can continue on its way to the 21st century, here, in front of Commander Chávez, we swear to continue with dignity, ethics, morals and honesty. He gave us the only thing he had, his life and his health, he never accepted deviation from his ranks, nor corruption,” he said.
Maduro described Chávez as one of the “most demanding” bosses, but he recalled that unfortunately he experienced the betrayal of very close people, of “study partners” who allowed their souls to rot to stab him in the back in the coup ( of state) of 2002, “but neither embarrassment nor betrayal stopped his spirit because he was a demanding, ethical and moral boss, he was not capable of demanding something that he could not fulfill before.
In this way, Maduro urged both those present and the people to review themselves internally.
“Let’s look in the mirror of Bolívar and in the portrait of Hugo Chávez, how much of them we have, how much transparency and authenticity, because it is impossible to carry a popular socialist revolution in the 21st century, harassed and attacked by the empires, without a column solid political, moral and ethical backbone. Let’s strengthen that backbone in each of the trenches, that moral column and let’s show that the Bolivarian revolution is an alternative to the rottenness of capitalism in the world”, said the president.
Finally, “10 years later we can say, always loyal, never traitors,” Maduro declared after swearing allegiance to Commander Chávez.
At the end of the act, Cristóbal Jimenez again dedicated his song to the Commander and addressed a few words to the “toñeca”, Rosa Inés Chávez, the youngest daughter of President Hugo Chávez Frías. On the screens, the presidential couple could be seen caressing the puppy that traveled a large part of the route of the funeral caravan of Commander Chávez to the Cuartel de la Montaña, which was adopted by the FANB.
