The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, greeted this Saturday the 202 Anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo and the National Day of the Bolivarian Army.

A path forged by genius, the Liberator Simón Bolívar; flags of struggles rescued by our Commander Chávez and that today are inspiration, guide and light for us, the revolutionaries. Long live Carabobo! ”, He wrote on the social network.

Similarly, the National President indicated that the heroic legacy of the Liberator is still alive in the Bolivarian Army

“On the anniversary of the victory in Carabobo, the combative spirit of our Liberation Army is still alive in the civic-military unit of the patriots, always loyal to their history and to the commitment to the heroic legacy of Simón Bolívar,” he said in the social network.

On the other hand, the Dignitary stated that it is, thanks to the rescue of revolutionary ideas, that today the integrity of the Homeland rests “in the protective arms of the officers, soldiers and soldiers of the Bolivarian Army, worthy heirs of greatness and the heroism of the men and women who, more than 200 years ago, forged our Independence”.

Earlier, the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) reaffirmed its revolutionary, popular and anti-imperialist vocation within the framework of commemorating the Day of the Bolivarian Army and the 202nd Anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo.

State authorities and the Military High Command paid tribute to the 202 years of the Battle of Carabobo, with the traditional raising of the flag in the National Pantheon.

The Battle of Carabobo was a war action that occurred in 1821 in the north-central lands of the country, very close to Valencia, the state capital, to gain independence from Spanish rule.
