The president of the Republic, Nicholas Madurostated this Thursday that the 21st century is the century of a multipolar and multipolar world.
«We are integrating culture, identity, history, desire for life and the future. The 21st century is the century of integration, of the multipolar, pluricentric world,” Maduro stressed.
From the Caracas Polyhedron, during the inauguration of the Iran-Venezuela Scientific, Technological and Industrial Expo, the Head of State highlighted the contributions of China and Russia to consolidate a new multipolar order.
In this sense, Maduro referred that Presidents Xi and Putin met to talk about the future of the world, as two powers that are inserted in the new poles of power and development for cooperation.
“Two powers of the 21st century. They will not be able to avoid it, they could not and will not be able to, the 21st century will be of the multipolar, multicentric world, of the new balance,” he said.
The national President indicated that the new global order is based on several centers of development and poles of power.
He pointed out that there must be a world where the unipolar hegemonism of those who have lived and intend to continue living in a world of a single imperial power that governs, directs, threatens and submits all the peoples and governments of the planet ends.
“The empire ended up being a paper tiger and the US empire has ended up being a paper tiger,” Maduro said.
“The time of empires is over, the time of peoples, of peace, has come,” he said.
The leaders of China and Russia reaffirmed their intentions to continue working to contribute to world peace and balance, and criticized the provocations of Western countries aligned with the global policy of the United States.
The national president recalled that the Shanghai Organization brings together countries that have almost 60% of the world’s population. It is a powerful organization in trade, economics and other areas that may be on a par with the G7 and G20, he stressed.
Likewise, he highlighted that Putin held talks with the president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, on development, cooperation, peace and energy.
The summit is held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on September 15 and 16 with the participation of the leaders of 14 countries. The organization is made up of China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan, and recently the incorporation of Iran was accepted.
Others like Afghanistan, Belarus and Mongolia are observer countries, while Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Turkey are associates.
This is the construction of the world that Bolívar envisioned, the world that Comandante Hugo Chávez envisioned with the multipolar world and we have brought the world to Venezuela.
“Before, the countries were dominated by imperialism, at the time of the neocolonial system, science and technology were only produced in the north, in the neocolonialist and imperialist countries. We were only final consumers of technology,” recalled Maduro.
Iran, an emerging power
During the activity, the Dignitary mentioned that the Islamic Republic of Iran has become one of the great emerging powers in this multicentric and multipolar world.
Maduro stressed that Venezuela must join Iran’s powerful oil, gas and petrochemical industry.
“We have to build our own technological model, learning from China, Russia, Iran, India, Turkey, from the emerging powers that are emerging,” exhorted President Maduro.
In this regard, the sector vice president of Economy and Minister for Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, pointed out that at the fair there are samples from various entities of the Venezuelan oil, petrochemical and gas industry.
Likewise, El Aissami pointed out that there is great potential for rotating equipment, field drilling and gas chains.
