Maduro strongly repudiated the assassination attempt against Evo Morales

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, condemned the attack against the former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, which occurred this Sunday morning in Cochabamba when hooded individuals shot at least 14 times at the vehicle the former president was traveling in.

“I strongly reject and repudiate the assassination attempt, this Sunday, against brother Evo Morales,” emphasized the Venezuelan head of state in a message posted on his social networks.

I trust that Bolivia, added Maduro, the favorite daughter of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, and its institutionsthey will investigate in depth and find those responsible. From Venezuela I express all our solidarity.

Attack against Evo Morales

The former Bolivian president released images of the attempted assassination against him, which occurred at 6:30 in the morning (local time) in the Shinahota municipality, department of Cochabamba.

On social networks, the former president reported that “like every Sunday, we were heading to Lauca Eñe, to carry out our Sunday program, when at the doors of Novena we were intercepted by two vehicles, apparently, (Toyota) Tundras, from which 4 hooded officers got out and dressed in black with weapons in their hands they began to shoot.”
