The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, expressed his hope to strengthen friendship between African countries and those of South America, during his visit to the Botanical Garden in the city of Algiers.
“We took a beautiful tour of the Botanical Garden, in the city of Algiers, capital of Algeria, we watered the Venezuelan trees that we planted a few years ago, so that life and friendship between Africa and South America prosper,” said the Venezuelan dignitary. this Saturday in a message posted on Telegram.
Ripe arrived in the North African country on Friday and held a meeting with the Prime Minister, Mohamed Nadir Larbaoui, in which they addressed issues of common interest.
Algeria and Venezuela have maintained diplomatic relations since 1971 and have signed more than 20 legal instruments in various areas, such as cultural, energy, commercial, scientific, communication, transportation, education, among others.
