He president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro signed this Friday the Liberator Simón Bolívar Organic Law “for the defense of the peace and sovereignty of Venezuela.”
During an act of solidarity with the Palestinian people held in Caracas, the head of state received the legal norm after the ruling of its organic nature by the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), so he proceeded to sign it and decree its publication and execute it.
Maduro criticized the fact that the United States Congress a few days ago approved a law that they called “in an outrageous manner” after the name of the Liberator Simón Bolívar; which he described as “the garbage law, the law of infamy” because it intends to declare economic war on Venezuela.
On the contrary, he highlighted that the deputies of the National Assembly drafted the Liberator Simón Bolívar Law “to defend Venezuela and to defeat all threats and all blockades of North American imperialism and its satellite countries.”
“The best place to sign it and make it the Law of the Republic is before the world movement of Solidarity with Palestine, and I proceed to affirm the Organic Law that does bear the name of the Liberator Simón Bolívar against the blockade and in defense of the people of Venezuela and its right to peace and happiness,” he stated.
Organic Law Liberator Simón Bolívar
During the ordinary session this Thursdaythe National Assembly unanimously approved the Organic Law Liberator Simón Bolívar against the Imperialist Blockade and in Defense of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
In this regard, the president of parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, pointed out that this is a law for the protection of the people, the territory, sovereignty, history and the legacy that will be left to new generations.
“This law was approved to make amends for the name of the greatest man that the history of this continent has ever known, so great is his legacy, example and libertarian deed that even more than 200 years later, the empire that feared him and still fears him, The empire that hated him and still hates him, insists on trying to tarnish his name,” he emphasized.
