He said that the Monómeros company was looted “by Guaidó and the 40 thieves,” but, he asserted, the time has come for reconstruction and growth. The governor Nicholas Maduro headed, this Thursday, November 3, a working day dedicated to the country’s petrochemical and agricultural sector.
“The management model that has been built in the Venezuelan Petrochemical is of the working class, democratic, efficient, effective and productive,” said the president.
He announced that, soon, a Technical, Scientific and Productive Congress of the Workers’ Productive Councils (CPT) will be installed “in order to collect all the experience that the working class and its capacity for scientific management have to recover the petrochemical industry and all the Economic sectors”.
During the activity, transmitted by TVV, Maduro reviewed the status of the company Monómeros Colombo-Venezolanos, a subsidiary of Pequiven based in Barranquilla, and which was managed by the interim government of Juan Guaidó from 2019 until the arrival of Gustavo Petro to the presidency of Colombia.
«We rescued Monómeros after we kidnapped her, it was incredible how Monómeros was obtained, what pain, the damage they did to her, they looted her, Guaidó and the 40 thieves, Leopoldo López, looted monomers. But, the time has come and now it has entered the path of reconstruction and growth », he assured.
For his part, from Zulia, the Minister of Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, said that the government informed the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, that, in less than a month, “we have managed to distribute to Colombian farmers more than 30,000 tons of fertilizers.
Likewise, the official said that “disgusting elements are appearing in Monómeros, they are people who care little about the interests of the country and devastated that industry that became one of the most important in Colombia.”
According to the minister, the government is on track to reposition Monómeros among the main companies for Colombia’s development.
For his part, the national president, who met with President Gustavo Petro in Miraflores on Tuesday, November 1, said that “Venezuela and Colombia are in the process of increasing their productive capacities to build a large Economic Zone in South America.”
“We are committed to returning to the Adina Community of Nations to build with our brothers, everything has its moment, everything has its hour,” Maduro pointed out.
Maduro assures that there is growth
The ruler Nicolás Maduro reiterated that the sanctions sought to destroy the economic apparatus of Venezuela, “but the working class and the Venezuelan business community refused to die, and here we are more alive than ever, standing up, victorious and winning.”
During this Thursday’s activity, the government reported that the country’s food industry “registers positive growth rates during 2022.” In this sense, according to the data provided, there is a 50.5% growth in beef production, a 31.5% increase in sugar production and a 31.6% growth in milk production.
In this context, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez said that 52% of the country’s enterprises are within the food sector.
“It is the result of a policy that you, Mr. President, have been articulating to promote national production,” said the official.
In the speech this Thursday, Maduro made contact with the governor of the Cojedes state, Alberto Galíndez, from the Expoferia llanera 2022. During his speech, the opposition president said that, in the entity, they harvested more than 9 thousand kilograms of corn per hectare, which exceeds the national average.
