Maduro: Regional authorities serve those affected by the rains "in real time"

Maduro ordered the Minister for the Office of the Presidency and Monitoring of Government Management, Jorge Márquez, to undertake an investigation to determine responsibilities for the felling of trees in the state of Lara

The Venezuelan ruler Nicolás Maduro made an assessment on Monday of the damage caused by the rains that have occurred in recent days in the country, as a result of a new tropical wave.

During his communication with the governors of the affected states, the national president expressed all his support to face this circumstance of climate change from the rains, the overflow of rivers and streams, while stressing that the regional authorities attend in a timely manner and “ real time to the affected people”.

In the same way, the highest representative of Chavismo assured that only the civic-military-police-firefighter union “has made it possible to take the necessary preventive measures and guarantee attention to the communities.”

In this sense, he ordered the implementation of a structural plan that shields the population from the ravages that climate change has been producing in Venezuelan territory.

The head of state recalled that in the specific case of Venezuela, the rains have had a considerable effect “from last August to date”, which is why he indicated that “it is our responsibility to address all issues.”

“I have been in permanent coordination with the governors, the mayors, the Executive Vice President, the ministers, the Vice President of Public Works, Néstor Luis Reverol, with all the ministers that have to do with the issue of water, electricity, public works,” he said. .

On the other hand, the Venezuelan ruler ordered the Minister for the Office of the Presidency and Monitoring of Government Management, Jorge Márquez, to undertake an investigation to determine responsibilities for the felling of trees in the state of Lara, specifically in the Terepaima National Park.

«We have to go to put order, that cannot be. Structural measures must be taken to prevent burning and logging, » he said.

The regional president reported 18 homes with total losses; 65 houses with loss of belongings and 83 with partial losses.

In this sense, he explained that the reports of Civil Protection and Firefighters have allowed “to act preventively and avoid human losses in the Andean region.”

Visit to Kuwait

On the other hand, the national ruler Nicolás Maduro arrived in Kuwait on Monday, June 13, the fourth country during which he visited as part of his international tour that began in Turkey, where he has also visited Algeria and Iran.

“We have just arrived in Kuwait from a very important, fruitful journey, from Turkey, Algeria, Iran, working for the construction of a multipolar, multicentric world, joining the new humanity,” he stressed.

The welcome ceremony was led by the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al Sabah, and the Venezuelan Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, Rubén Ávila.
