This Monday, October 31, at the Miraflores Palace, the Honduran ambassador to Venezuela, Scarleth Romero, delivered her credentials to President Nicolás Maduro, in an act broadcast by the state channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
“In the spirit of peace diplomacy, I received the credentials of the new ambassador of the Republic of Honduras in Venezuela, Scarleth Romero Cantarero. Welcome to the Homeland of Bolívar. Let us continue to work firmly, for the good of our peoples », affirmed Maduro through his social networks.

Romero arrived in the country on the night of Sunday, October 30, and was received by the Vice Minister for Latin America and the Caribbean, Rander Peña, as confirmed by the official through his Twitter account, where he highlighted that the diplomat arrived in the country with the purpose of “strengthening the brotherhood between both nations”. In addition, she said that she also has the mission of updating the comprehensive cooperation agenda.

Also present at the event were the First Lady, Cilia Flores, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Faría, and the Deputy Minister for Latin America and the Caribbean, Rander Peña.

In September, Venezuela and Honduras ratified their cooperation during a bilateral meeting between Foreign Minister Faría and his counterpart, Eduardo Enrique Reina, held in New York, during the 77th session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.
