Maduro received the President of Guinea Bissau

The President of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, was received this Wednesday in Miraflores by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, on his first official visit to the country.

The President of Guinea Bissau was received at the Golden Gate of the Miraflores Palace in Caracas.

After the honors that correspond to his investiture, the Guinean president enjoyed a cultural event by the Alma Llanera Orchestra of the Capital District, in the central courtyard of the government palace.

Earlier this Wednesday, the President of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, together with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Venezuela, Carlos Fariahonored the father of the country, Simón Bolívar, with the delivery of a floral offering before the sarcophagus of the Liberator Simón Bolívar in the National Pantheon, in Caracas.

He also met with the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez. The meeting, which has the presence of part of the ministerial train of the national Government, takes place in the Sucre room of the Casa Amarilla, where the authorities will review the established agreements.

Several of the members of the official Guinea Bissau delegation that is in the country have held talks with various Venezuelan ministers.

The Sectoral Vice-President for the Economy and Minister for Oil, Tareck El Aissami, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for Parliamentary Affairs and Coordinator of the Economic Area of ​​Guinea Bissau, Soares Sambú, and they agreed to relaunch energy cooperation.

Venezuela and Guinea-Bissau They have established strong ties of brotherhood and cooperation, originating from the government of Commander Hugo Chávez.

In 2016, both countries signed joint cooperation agreements in health, agriculture, energy, security and defense.

Both nations have contributed to the strengthening of relations, in order to consolidate a new dynamic in international politics.
