President Nicolás Maduro participated in the work day dedicated to the expo fair for the 2022/2023 school year. He summoned the educational authorities and directors of the institutions to prepare to receive the students on October 3.
The ruler Nicolás Maduro announced a “special gift for teachers”, it is a “cacherous” bag and a subsidy in the purchase of shoes. The president asserted that it is necessary “to take care of the teachers and give them everything.”
«We have agreed with the textile industry, we have prepared a special plan. They are presenting me with the point of account to provide the teachers as a special gift, a very ‘cheesy’ leather bag, very fine and also offer them directly in this entire fair shoes of the best quality practically given away »he said this September 28 from the Military Circle of Caracas.

Maduro participated in the work day dedicated to the expo fair for the 2022/2023 school year, broadcast on VTV, together with the Minister of Education Yelitze Santaella; the Minister of Information Communication, Freddy Ñáñez, the Vice President Delcy Rodríguez and Cilia Flores.
“I am very motivated for this new school year. It is the first that we will have completely face-to-face after the pandemic. From end to end. Direct general classes five days a week,” he said.
At the same time, he summoned the educational authorities and directors of the institutions to prepare to receive the students.
Maduro did not even show the demands that the teachers’ union has made for the last four years: a fair salary. He did say that the country’s teachers will be provided with shoes made in the nation. The shoes will cost 9 bolivars.
On the other hand, he assured that this year the Bicentennial Collection will be distributed for the children of Venezuela. Meanwhile, Vice President Delcy said that the exhibition was installed thanks to the Textile Plan for Uniforms, as well as shoes and supplies for schoolchildren and young high school students, within the Public Purchases Program.
The ruler celebrated the restart of classes, scheduled for Monday, October 3 at all levels. He stressed that this will be the first school year after the pandemic that will take place in person every day of the week.
