Nicolás Maduro announced on Tuesday, January 28 that the resources allocated to governorates, mayors and communities that there was a 54% increase in the amounts assigned compared to 2023, that is, a figure that amounts to 447,275,707 dollars.
Maduro, who presided over the installation of the Federal Government Council, indicated that the communal circuits will receive approximately 237 million dollars for the planned consultations and the execution of projects; While the rest will be distributed in governorates and mayors where these instances will have as a priority to attend the road.
“Consultations have been carried out to learn about the priority projects of each community through the governorates, mayors and communes, 80 % of the projects focus on the road, seek to take the asphalting to every corner of the country; We have to continue in that. On the other hand, we have the popular power that prioritizes the drinking water service, secondly, housing and roads, so we are going to activate and we are ready for the execution of these projects. This year is the beginning of direct democracy throughout the country, ”he said.

For her part, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez said that in 2024 11,900 projects between governorates and mayors were executed. «The execution of the governorates reached 87 % and that of the mayorships by 78 %.
