Maduro President: Venezuela goes to the avant -garde in the construction of new democracy

“There is a model that is born in Latin America, is the model of popular democracy, of direct democracy; and Venezuela goes to the avant -garde of the construction of new democracy,” said the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during a day of the communal government, from the Carabobo state.

In that context, the Head of State called to participate in the coming elections next Sunday, July 27 for youth and for youth, highlighting the leading role that new generations must assume in the political and social transformation of the country.

He also encouraged older adults, already contemporaries of the youth accumulated to support youth projects, recognizing in them the renewing force that drives the direct democracy model promoted by Venezuela.

With this call, the national president reaffirms the commitment of the Bolivarian Government with the active participation of the people in the construction of an authentic, inclusive and deeply popular democratic system.

It is worth remembering that on Sunday the municipal elections and the popular consultation of youth will be held, two events of great importance for the strengthening of the direct democracy model that is promoted in the country. The municipal elections will allow to renew the local leadership in each community, in order to consolidate popular power from the territorial bases.

For its part, the popular youth consultation represents a historical opportunity for new generations to express their proposals, priorities and vision of the future, in a democratic exercise that recognizes its fundamental role in the construction of the Venezuela in tomorrow.

Both processes will be developed simultaneously, and constitute a call to citizen commitment, conscious participation and the support of the projects that are born from organized youth. The Bolivarian government thus reaffirms its commitment to a living, inclusive and deeply popular democracy, where each voice counts and each vote builds.
