The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, together with the First Lady Cilia Flores, said that “the Caribbean must be free of hate, war and violence”, after the Dominican Republic sent him an image of his patron saint, the Virgin of Altagracia next to a medalite.
«Together with Cilita, we received the blessing of the Virgen de la Altagracia, which send us from the Dominican Republic. I appreciate this special gift, to continue protecting us. The Caribbean people conveys the beauty of their desires for peace and union, ”Maduro wrote.
