Maduro: our greatest weapon is the truth of Venezuela

Maduro: our greatest weapon is the truth of Venezuela

“Our greatest weapon is not a nuclear rocket, our greatest weapon is the truth of Venezuela, which is irrefutable, devastating and when they open a gap for us to tell our truth, the lights come on for the good of our country.” This is what President Nicolás Maduro expressed to journalist Ignacio Ramonet when referring to the media and cognitive war against the country.

«We have created a national system that is also beginning to have an international impact and what I call in a manual book that I published: From the streets to the networks, from the networks to the media, from the media to the walls. And Radio Bemba, which in other places is called Boca Oreja (…) We defend our right to peace, we defend our right to national sovereignty, to international law that guarantees the self-determination of peoples. “We defend the right to the future and development,” he said.

Maduro pointed out that they are fundamental rights guaranteed by the United Nations and by all international treaties. «The right to development of peoples, the right to the future, the right to peace. We also defend a glorious history, the history of the liberators of America. So I believe that this system of streets, networks, media and walls will gain more and more strength, more body and will allow us, in the year 2026, and in the years to come, for Venezuela to be known for its truths and not for so much manipulation and so many dirty attacks that they carry out.

President Maduro reaffirmed his political identity: “I am not even a magnate, I don’t want to be, but I want to continue being what I am going to be, a simple man of the People, who governs from the People and with the People.”

“The US blatantly violates international laws”

President Maduro, when consulted by Ramonet about the threats and aggressions of the United States against Venezuela, denounced that the current United States government seeks to impose itself through intimidation and force to seize the Nation’s natural resources, warning that such actions prepare the ground for a conflict of similar dimensions to the Vietnam War in the Caribbean region.

«What is the goal of the current United States government? They have already said it: grab all of Venezuela’s oil, the gold, the rare earths, the riches of Venezuela,” he stated.

Likewise, he maintained that there is an open debate about Washington’s intentions and pointed out that the use of unusual and extravagant threats constitutes an international crime that breaks with the order established since 1945.

«The American people have to ask themselves if they elected the current government to initiate military interventions again in Latin America; “If it is ethical, if it is moral and if it is Christian to do what they are doing,” he said.

In this sense, he compared the current situation with historical conflicts that have marked US foreign policy, asking if American society is proud of the results in Afghanistan, Iraq or Libya.

«The possibility of an armed confrontation in South America would represent a historical regression that world society must reject (…) I have said no to a Vietnam war again. If you do a survey, 80% of Americans do not want a war in Vietnam. “Are they going to bring a Vietnam war, a war in Afghanistan here to the Caribbean?” he said.

The head of state concluded that the policy of the current United States administration contravenes the aspirations for peace of humanity and the American people themselves.

He pointed out that what humanity aspires to is dialogue, diplomacy, peace, respect between States, respect between peoples. «We are in our law. I, as president, am within my law. We are in our law, in international law, in the Constitution. We are defending the most sacred thing we have: our land, our natural resources. Because what is the goal? What is the goal of the current United States Government? They have already said it. They have already said it. Hey? Grab all the oil from Venezuela. They have already said it. The gold. The rare earths. The riches of Venezuela.

«Not like that! Not like that! We want peace. We want respect for international law. And let’s wait for the weeks and months to come, and for American society, global society, to be able to generate responses to dissipate and put an end to this entire threat,” he stated.

Venezuela open to investment

During the interview, the national leader said that Venezuela is ready to receive US investments and supply oil “whenever they want, where they want and how they want”, while denouncing that the United States administration unilaterally suspended the migrant repatriation agreement reached at the beginning of the year.

He assured that his Government has the maturity to establish comprehensive agreements if there is rationality and diplomacy on the part of Washington.

“If they want oil from Venezuela, Venezuela is ready for American investments like with Chevron, whenever they want, where they want and how they want,” declared the head of state, stressing that the country is a people of its word to engage in serious negotiations.

However, Maduro revealed a setback in binational cooperation by reporting that the US authorities gave up continuing with the return flight plan for Venezuelan citizens. «Three weeks ago, the US government authorities gave up sending migrants to Venezuela and simply did not send more migrants. “They are the ones who suspended the migration agreement,” he said.

On the other hand, he dismissed the accusations that link his administration with illicit activities, comparing them with the arguments used to justify past war conflicts. “Since they cannot accuse us of having nuclear rockets, then they invented an accusation that the United States knows is as false as that accusation of weapons of mass destruction, which led them to an eternal war,” he said.

Maduro reported that he had a telephone conversation with his United States counterpart, Donald Trump, and assured that the American people have a friendly government in Venezuela.

The president specified that the contact occurred on November 21 and served to establish direct communication between both governments, which he described as respectful.

«We have had only one conversation. He called me on Friday, November 21 from the White House. “I was in the Miraflores Palace,” said the head of state. He explained that the exchange lasted ten minutes: «It was a conversation, as I said, respectful, very respectful. The first thing Mr. President Maduro told me. And I told him Mr. President Donald Trump. And I think that conversation was even pleasant.

However, he pointed out that the development of events after said contact has not maintained the same essence. «Hence the post-conversation evolutions have not been pleasant. Let’s wait. “I entrust everything to God,” said President Maduro, who framed the future of the country in what he called the “year of admirable challenge” for 2026, in order to “overcome disturbances, problems and be able to continue consolidating a country like Venezuela, which is a country in peace.”

He insisted that the National Defensive System guarantees territorial integrity and sent a message of closure to the population of the United States. «The People of the United States should know that here they have a friendly, friendly, peaceful people and they have a friendly Government. They must know it. Our slogan is very clear: Not war, yes peace.

He assured that his security and that of the Nation depend on an infallible bunker rooted in his religious faith, which is why he took the opportunity to exhort the United States government to pursue its own greatness through work and a pacifist vocation, instead of the military threat.

He maintained that his management is moved by sacred convictions and historical commitments that guarantee the country’s victory under any circumstance. «I have an infallible bunker. Almighty God. I gave Venezuela to our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the king of kings. The king of here, of our country. I entrust myself to him every day,” he said.

Also, he assured that he has the support of Popular Power and defined the Venezuelan People as his greatest shield and source of energy. «For Venezuela to be great, we do not have to harm anyone. TRUE? Just like the US, which wants to be great again. Well, let them be great for their effort, for their work, for their pacifist vocation. And not because of the threat, nor because of the war. Enough is enough, no more war,” declared the national leader.

In this sense, he reaffirmed his political identity by linking it to the country’s historical figures, pointing out that its essence lies in the delivery of power to the social bases. «I simply am not me. I represent a historical project that brings 500 years of struggle. I could tell you, I am Guaicaipuro, I am Bolívar, I am Zamora. “I am Chávez, because I am the people,” he expressed.

He ratified his confidence in the outcome of the current political tensions: «We are moved by convictions. Commitments. Oaths. And a divine, sacred force that is lost from sight. Because God is with us, and as our people say: if God is with us, who is against? So, victory in any circumstance will always belong to us.”

The US does not have any allied political force in Venezuela

“Today we could say that the United States does not have any allied political force in Venezuela, because this lady named María Machado – in Venezuela they call her “Sayona” – has 85% rejection, total repudiation of Venezuelan society. Neither she nor what she represents would ever have the capacity to govern this country,” said President Maduro.

In this sense, the head of state asserted that they know this in the United States, “and they have to know that we, the patriotic forces of the country, President Maduro and far beyond the PSUV, far beyond the Great Patriotic Pole, at this moment have over 70% support in the fight that I am fighting for the defense of national sovereignty and for peace. Over 70%,” he stated.

Likewise, he highlighted that those numbers had not been available. “And there has been support here for Commander Chávez in all his stages and we have acquired support at different stages, as we have demonstrated in electoral processes,” he stressed.

Furthermore, he emphasized that these numbers are conclusive, that they say the level at which national public opinion is and how Venezuela has achieved consensus, union. “I call it the perfect union, popular, military, police, but we could even call it the broadest union of all sectors, the national union that we have never had,” said the head of state.

“That is the natural immunological response of Venezuelan society to the illegal, disproportionate and threatening, warlike aggression that we have suffered for 28 continuous weeks,” said the national leader.

Venezuela neutralizes aircraft number 40 from Colombia

In terms of border security, he defended what he called a perfect model for combating drug trafficking, highlighting the neutralization of the 40th aircraft of the year coming from Colombia. «Today we managed to destroy the foreign plane in Colombian drug trafficking number 40. Who did it? “The Venezuelan Sukhoi,” reported the President, detailing that the total number of ships shot down under the Interdiction Law amounts to 431.

«All the cocaine that moves in this region is produced in Colombia. “We are victims of Colombian drug trafficking,” he said, and then pointed out that Venezuela is responsible for protecting the 2,200 kilometers of common border with the neighboring state.

“We dedicate billions of resources to have operational police and soldiers, because the Colombian border is totally devoid of military police protection,” he stated.
