From Miraflores, Maduro said that the greatest vaccine the country has “against the cybernetic, fascist and criminal coup d’état, is to consolidate communal power throughout the national territory.”
The ruler Nicolas Maduro reported on Thursday, August 8, that he ordered the blocking of the social network X, formerly Twitter, for a period of 10 days. He said from Miraflores, during the event that followed the march of the communal power, that the measure is part of the response against the “cyber coup.”
He said he had signed a point of agreement with the proposal made by the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) regarding the network owned by Elon Musk.
“X out of Venezuela for 10 days! (…). “In Venezuela there is law, there is a Constitution, there are institutions, there is a State, there is a people who must be respected,” Maduro emphasized.
He also said: “Enough of attacking Venezuela from abroad, we have to defeat the cyber attack.”

On Thursday, Maduro also referred to the process that the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ is following after admitting the electoral contentious appeal that he introduced after the presidential elections of July 28 and in this sense argued that he will attend the hearing this Friday, August 9, because he believes in the laws and the Constitution.
“Only through respect for national sovereignty and institutions can we consolidate peace and coexistence,” he said.
On the other hand, Maduro said that the best vaccine the country has “against the cybernetic, fascist and criminal coup d’état is to consolidate communal power throughout the national territory.”
According to the president, where there is a strengthened commune and an active and consolidated Communal Council, “fascism does not arrive.”
