Maduro: “Niño Guerrero” is responsible for post-election violence and works for the CIA

Nicolás Maduro and Diosdado Cabello link the “Aragua Train” with the US military man detained in Venezuela and assure that they had planned to attack on the same day of the presidential elections to “end the Maduro government”

President Nicolás Maduro said that they had information “that ‘Niño Guerrero’ (Hector Guerrero) is in Venezuela” and that “he was captured by the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency of the United States).” He stated that he was the one who “directed the riots and violence of July 29, 30 and 31” in the country, when citizens went out to protest against the results issued by the National Electoral Council.

He added that Guerrero and his “Aragua Train” are directly linked to the plan and the US military man detained in Venezuela. He indicated that the Prosecutor’s Office will soon take the evidence to the courts that will handle this case.

For his part, the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, stated that they learned that mercenaries were entering the country and that after following a woman who is dedicated to the sex trade and who was the partner of the second in command of the Aragua Train, they found that the American soldier, Wilmer Joseph Castañeda, detained in Venezuela, contacted the “Warrior Boy”, who was in Colombia to attack Venezuela on the same day of the presidential elections.

The minister said that “the goal is to end the government of Nicolás Maduro.”

He leader He also referred to the two Spaniards arrested and condemned the fact that their families say that they went to the country for tourism and asked: “Adventure tourism? Planting bombs and killing people. Explosive tourism?”

They also claim that there is a network of hotels in Colombia, with the main headquarters in Bogotá, where “terrorists sent from the United States and Europe” are supposedly staying, and then they are smuggled across the land border into Venezuela to attack the government.

Diosdado Cabello also insisted that the detained Czech citizen is linked to the other foreigners imprisoned for allegedly being involved in a plan to destabilize the country. They claimed that all the weapons seized in the country come from the US and were smuggled in.

The Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace said that the woman accused of being in a prostitution ring and belonging to the Tren de Aragua gang was also arrested along with her father and mother; however, they did not offer further details about the identity of these three people, nor the date of arrest or the exact place. Maduro only said that they were arrested in the state of Aragua.

On January 24, the government offered a reward of 250 thousand dollars for anyone who provides information on the whereabouts of Hector “El Niño” Guerrero, who is on the run from justice. Hector Guerrero has an Interpol red notice in 194 countries; it was speculated that he had fled to Colombia and then settled in the United States, but there is no evidence of this information.

On September 20, 2023, the Tocorón prison, located in the state of Aragua, was intervened by security agencies and 11,000 officials with the intention of dismantling the gangs that operated there, but after the intervention, the main negative leaders of the Aragua Train were not there.
