Maduro: Nazi-fascists do not care about public opinion

The president of the republic Nicolás Maduro asked not to underestimate those who want to attack the country both inside and outside our borders, in relation to a comment by communicator Miguel Pérez Pirela about the “boomerang effect” that would be returning against those who make threats from the United States.

“When Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia and Poland, did he care about criticism and international public opinion? When there are positions that reach Nazi-fascism, they don’t care at all. They are full of ambition, hatred, and the desire for revenge,” he warned about those behind the threat against Venezuela.

He added that in the face of this danger, “it is so important that the people of the world remain mobilized for peace. That the people of the United States listen to the message of Venezuela and stop all this escalation of war against a peaceful people, which would imply a major conflict in the Caribbean.”

He called on the US social movements, their political leadership and public opinion, to assert their “decisive position” in the face of the war-mongering policies of an economic group in their country.

Venezuela, a country of peace

The head of state referred to the will for peace that today is the majority among the Venezuelan people in the face of the foreign threat. “Today, there is a new consensus in Venezuela, which is willing to defend the country, our identity. Because we are working people, we are not terrorists,” he said.

“No governor, no mayor, no president here or abroad has 80% support. That an idea, a public position, has 80 or 90% support is a consensus that is only seen today in Venezuela,” he said in reference to support for peace in the country.

He recalled that the extremist position against the country was at the time of Juan Guaidó’s alleged interim presidency, 25% of the population, and that now it is only 6%. However, he said the figure remains “worrying.”
