Maduro met with the UN Resident Coordinator in Caracas

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, held a meeting this Friday with the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Gianluca Rampolla del Tindaro.

The head of state presented evidence of the conspiracy that is being promoted by the US government against Venezuela. The meeting took place at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas, a meeting also attended by Foreign Minister Yván Gil.

Earlier, President Maduro reported that he had a phone call with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. “Today I spoke with the UN Secretary General and I fully explained to him the fight we are waging against neo-fascism, fascism and their similar expressions.”

During the conversation, the head of state warned him about attempts at external aggression, through the hiring of mercenaries to invade the country and carry out assassination attempts.

Maduro told Guterres that social media has been used to promote fundraising to carry out attacks against Venezuelan institutions.

In this regard, he pointed out that he promised Guterres to meet with the UN Ambassador in Caracas, “to provide him with more information on the conspiracy that is being promoted from the US to bring violence and terrorist attacks against Venezuela.”
