Maduro met with the delegation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

From the Miraflores Palace, in the city of Caracas, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, holds a working meeting with a high-level delegation from the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Nigerian delegation is made up of its Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva; the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Olorundare Phillip Awoniyi; the Minister for Women’s Affairs, Pauline Tallen; and Aviation Minister Sirika Hadi.

This meeting takes place after delegations from Venezuela and Nigeria installed this Friday in the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry a Mixed Commission, with the aim of taking relations and cooperation between the two countries to the highest level.

The conference was led by the foreign ministers of Venezuela and Nigeria, Carlos Faría and Geoffrey Onyeama, respectively, who also reviewed 21 common projects in areas such as communication and information, defense, the fight against money laundering and services. airlines, among others.

Venezuela and Nigeria are members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and today both nations are focused on expanding the bilateral agenda and establishing the cooperation roadmap.

The Joint Commission installed earlier contemplates working tables in the political and diplomatic fields, on issues related to science and technology, agriculture, energy, mining, transportation, culture, oil and gas, migration issues, education and tourism, in order to continue strengthening political, geostrategic, cooperation and complementarity ties.

Governments of Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago promote cooperation relations

The governments of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago consolidate their links of cooperation, complementarity and solidarity with the work meeting led by the Venezuelan Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, with a high-level delegation from the sovereign island country , located 130 kilometers south of Granada and 11 kilometers from the northeastern coast of Venezuela.

The Minister for Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Richard Young; and the Ambassador of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, accredited in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Edmund Ernest Dillon, respectively, make up the Trinidad and Tobago delegation present at the House of the Bolivarian Government.

In recent months, in energy matters, both countries have expressed the desire and commitment to reactivate energy cooperation and particularly the government of Trinidad and Tobago has proposed the search for formulas for the normalization of gas and oil supply worldwide.

In perspective, the Government of Trinidad and Tobago has also expressed its intention to reactivate the energy cooperation agreements with Venezuela, to serve the South American nation as a platform for its energy exports to other parts of the world.
