President Nicolás Maduro stated during the broadcast of his weekly program With Maduro + that the opposition leader María Corina Machado returned to Caracas and took refuge in the residence of the ambassador of the Netherlands and then in the United States embassy after planning terrorist actions and requesting sanctions against the country from Panama and Colombia.

Maduro added that Machado’s stay at the US diplomatic headquarters would have caused discomfort among those guarding the place, due to his alleged state of mind.
«There she slept for several days, but the people who are taking care of that headquarters were stubborn because the lady was bitter and more toxic than normal: she is here, she came back, although they suddenly have the promise that she will leave again»he stressed.
In his speech, the president took the opportunity to criticize Edmundo González Urrutia, accusing him of not participating in the protests called by opposition sectors over the weekend.
«Edmundo González, new Guaidó, will remain in the garbage dump of history»he sentenced.
Maduro also attacked Venezuelan migrants who have returned to the country through humanitarian flights managed by his government. He stated that among them there would have been “criminals and terrorists” who were trained in countries such as Peru, Ecuador and the United States.
«Criminal gangs will have no place in the country. All groups or prans are being dismantled. Now we are going to establish a prison regime with a lot of discipline, justice, that the sentence is served and, in addition, education for work»he declared.
He also maintained that his administration is willing to cooperate with the United States to act against Venezuelan criminals who cause problems in the country.
If the sanctions are lifted, he added, «not a migrant» Venezuelan would need to reach the United States.
On the other hand, he denounced that an alleged «technological empire» deployed a campaign through WhatsApp to threaten militants of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and other organizations related to Chavismo during this year’s presidential elections.
According to Maduro, the massive messages were also directed to police chiefs, members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and their families throughout the country, with databases and artificial intelligence tools to intimidate and demobilize the ruling party through the networks. social networks like TikTok.
