He president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro emphasized that Leopoldo López, through Gilbert Caro, directs the criminal gang called “Tren de Aragua” from Spain and the United States, and that they led to the post-election violence on July 28 and 29.
“There is the evidence, the recordings, I know that in the United States the intelligence agencies handle them,” stressed the Venezuelan head of state this Wednesday when leading a meeting with justices of the peace communal.

He specified that the ultra-rightists were financing the violent actions through the so-called Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), which, he added, “in Venezuela have every right to exist and participate in the life of the country, but complying with the laws and not conspiring. against the peace of the country and the Republic.”
Laws to combat fascist violence
President Maduro highlighted the laws approved within the National Assembly after the attempt to lead the country into a civil war on July 29 and 30, which he called “fascist aggression”; and stated that “the only plan that the Venezuelan extreme right has is violence and fascism.”
“In the month of August and September, they approved the Organic Law Against Fascism, Neofascism and Similar Expressions that is in force and whoever eats the light: democracy, law and institutionality,” he stressed.
He also highlighted the Law of Supervision, Regularization, Action and Financing of the so-called Non-Governmental Organizations and Non-Profit Social Organizations, through which “they were putting in thousands and millions of dollars to finance destabilization, crime, because they have alliances with the Tren del Llano and the Tren de Aragua for a long time,” he insisted.
“We are prepared so that peace, unity, harmony, advancement, progress, recovery continue to reign in Venezuela,” concluded the head of state.
