Maduro led the act of promotion of the Guard of Honor and Counterintelligence

President Nicolás Maduro led the official act of Promotion of the Military Professional Personnel of the Presidential Honor Guard and the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence, to the immediate superior level, an act held in the theater of the Military Academy in Fort Tiuna.

The president reported that this year he reviewed and approved the promotion of 15,150 Officers and Professional Troops; and more than 90 Generals and Admirals, which shows a great job of monitoring, preparation and training.

In the act they participated in this act the G/J. Vladimir Padrino López, Sectoral Vice President of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, and Minister of People’s Power for Defense; G/J. Domingo Antonio Hernández Lárez, Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB; M/G José Ornelas Ferreira, Chief of Staff of the Commander in Chief and Major Generals and Admirals, members of the Superior General Staff.

As Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, he congratulated the entire Venezuelan military family for achieving their promotions to the next higher rank.

Likewise, to conclude the act, the President of the Republic stated that the National Armed Forces represent the General column of the country.

Military civic union together in the recovery of the country

The FANB “is at the forefront, together with the people, in this process of growth, recovery and construction of the powerful Venezuela.”

“Venezuela has taken the path of recovery, it is getting up step by step and our FANB was at the side of the people in the hardest years, the creak of social and economic resistance,” he said.

The first President highlighted the importance of aiming for the perfect union with the people, the civic-military union, which “must be consolidated in a fusion of the people in arms, of the Homeland, from the deep roots of our founding fathers to the branches flourishing of the Bolivarian Republic in this 21st century.

Earlier the president, through his account @NicolasMaduro, highlighted that announcements of interest are expected in the next few hours; through a message in which he recognizes the outstanding work, love and commitment to the nation of the FANB.

“It is time for promotions and recognition for the glorious FANB, for its merits, discipline and commitment. You are guardians of peace, security and territorial defense. We have good news for the great military family. Watch out and Watch Out!” she wrote.

Threats from Colombia

The President called on the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to raise alert levels in the face of possible threats against the country.

“In his impotence, hatred and defeat, Iván Duque wants to take revenge on Venezuela, which is why we must keep our guard up.”

Maduro announced in February 2019 the decision of the Bolivarian Executive to break political and diplomatic ties with the neighboring country, by blaming the Colombian Government for supporting aggression against the Bolivarian nation, in collusion with the United States and the Venezuelan extreme right.
