“We should feel proud of what the revolutionary government is doing without political calculation, out of absolute conviction that it is necessary to shake the moral and ethical foundations of the Republic,” President Nicolás Maduro said this Friday after signing his signature for the promulgation of the Domain Forfeiture Organic Law.
“It is necessary to remember that the one who investigated and has imprisoned the corrupt of this corruption plot, it has been us with our impeccable ethics, of impeccable fighters,” he said.
He denounced that US imperialism has manipulated the truth and seeks to take advantage of social networks and the media, “in view of the battle that the Venezuelan government has undertaken against immorality and corrupt mafias.”
“The big mistake of the hit men on social networks who intend to fish in troubled rivers has been to underestimate us. We are willing to go all-out in the fight against banditry and we will continue to fight and we will win again over the bandits and mafias,” the president strongly warned.
He assured that there are opposition sectors that underestimate the laws, at the same time that he ruled that “we are willing to go all out in the fight against banditry, the corrupt, wherever they are and whoever they are.”
“We must continue to advance firmly and forcefully hit these mafias. There are those who believe that they have a letter of marque, a license to do bad things and act badly, but I call on them on behalf of the vast majority of Venezuelans, that we are on the side of ethics, honesty, and humility in the permanent struggle against immorality and mafias, against banditry”.
Whoever wants a double game that abides by the consequences is very wrong and I ask God for wisdom to follow the path of rectitude and republican morality.
Maduro stressed that this is the first law with which we are going, “corrupt mafias are going to be hit very hard.”
“The truth supports us, only the truth cannot claim to tarnish the beauty of a revolution like ours by a group of thieves with four soles, they cannot claim to tarnish the effort of a people that resists, battles and fights and that has the flag of the combatant morality of the 21st century revolution,” said Maduro.
Finally, he urged public officials to fulfill their duties and serve the people honestly with revolutionary ethics and morals, since he urged Sebin to continue with his investigations and a firm hand against corruption.
He also stressed the importance of demonstrating to the people where and how these seized assets are going to be used at the service of the people.
