The president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro, led a working meeting on Monday with the political bureau of the party in which he announced that elections would be held for the parish, municipal and state leaderships of the Youth of the PSUV.
Likewise, he highlighted the participation in the application process carried out this Saturday, from which more than 400,000 names emerged from the bosom of the 14,000 Bolívar Chávez Battle Units (UBCh), in the event where the leaders, chiefs and street leaders of the match.
«We have a blunderbuss, but we have to continue working on building a respectful leadership, that listens to the bases, that is responsible, that knows how to assume its leadership, its leadership and that knows how to withstand pressure and that can always give a smile to the bases. We need to build a system of leadership and forces.”
«There can be no one-person, individualistic, capricious leadership that wants to impose its criteria. That has nothing to do with the Venezuela of the 21st century, with the Bolivarian Revolution!” he added.
He said that it is not about bourgeois democracy of “some elites that rise up and kidnap the power of the people… and use the power of the people to embezzle it,” he explained and assured that this bourgeois democracy will not return to Venezuela.
He stressed that the new generations should know that the Bolivarian Revolution comes from “a historic birth; arose from the exhaustion of the bourgeois model, from the model of false democracy, from minorities… and the idea of participatory and protagonist democracy arose from February 4, 1992, from the Revolutionary Bolivarian Movement 2000… from the brilliant mind of Commander Chávez” and from the generation he led. And that Venezuela should feel proud that protagonist and participatory democracy materialized here, although the idea had already been raised in other latitudes, but it is Venezuela that materialized it in a Constitution.

He assured that the secret of the Bolivarian Revolution consists in the construction of a solid leadership. “We have known how to build a team leadership system and that is the secret of the strength of the Revolution,” she said.
“This Revolution came to democratize Venezuela, it is standing and victorious, recognized by the world for the courage with which we have defended our Constitution.”
