The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured this Saturday that he remains in charge of the presidency of the Republic of Venezuela thanks to the force of the town.
In the speech on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of February 4, 1992, held in Los Próceres, the Head of State recalled how after Commander Chávez entrusted him with the direction of the town, various sectors, inside and outside the country, indicated that he would not stay in front.
In this sense, he affirmed “I am here because he left me, and I am here for the strength of the people.”
“I can tell you, 10 years later, that I feel more willing than ever and I know that this town is stronger than ever to face attacks and threats, to face whatever comes.”
“We have the experience, the strengthened civil-military union,” he said.
Maduro narrated in his speech the betrayals suffered by those who have defended the people throughout history, and pointed out that at present treason has had no place “because for the first time, instead of treason, he prevailed over all the love for the homeland and loyalty to the people.
The Head of State urged political, civil and military leaders, as well as the people, to understand that what is taking place in the country “is a historical and collective process that cannot depend on one man.”
Corruption
The president also referred to the acts of corruption that obscure the process, and in this regard he said “the corrupt who disguise themselves as Chavistas must be confronted and stripped naked in front of the people. That is where the rebel force of February 4th has to be. Give everything for the country.
Disguised as chavistas
Likewise, he said that he recently denounced the existence of “some small groups financed by the gringos that are trying to divide our powerful civic-military union movement. They are trying to do it disguised as chavistas.
He explained that “some were ministers and now they are trying to confuse the people,” which is why he called for them to be unmasked and to join forces “for the battles that are to come.”
Rising against imperialism
President Maduro stated that “on February 4, 1992 we rose up against the imperialism that reigned in this country.”
He indicated that unlike then, when they were few, today “we can observe a Bolivarian Chavista, socialist and profoundly anti-imperialist force.”
It is so, “because our commander Chavez cleared the way and we have not given up. 31 years later we continue to rise up against imperialism.
rescue of dignity
Likewise, Maduro expressed that “today and every February 4 we celebrate in a civic-military union the day of national dignity.”
He indicated that on February 4, 1992, he rescued national dignity, he rescued the project of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, through Commander Chávez, and thirdly, what would be the hope of Chávez’s “For Now” arose.
He recalled that before February 4, 1992 and the years prior to the Bolivarian Revolution, there was no one in the country who defended the human rights of Venezuelans. “Imperialism was in charge of covering up the crimes of the oligarchy.”
“Imperialism had closed the paths of peace and democracy, two centuries of plundering of natural resources. And the imperialist drunkenness led them to believe that they could recolonize Venezuela,” he stated.
But thanks to the gallantry of the young soldiers together with the people tired of the outrage, they took to the streets, to claim their rights with the “beautiful hope, it woke up in the hearts of those of us who woke up suddenly.”
gold generation
Maduro stressed that thanks to the teachings of Commander Hugo Chávez, love for the Homeland and loyalty to the Venezuelan people prevailed.
For this reason, he urged the golden generation, formed by Commander Chávez, forged in revolution and in values, to carry the banners of struggle and rebellion for the rest of the 21st century.
The Venezuelan youth -he said- is and will always be the heir to the glories and triumphs achieved thanks to the civic-military union that rose up against the neoliberal policies of the Fourth Republic.
Peace is the path of the Revolution
Maduro added that the paths of the Revolution have to be those of peace, the Constitution, those of democracy, those of national harmony.
In this context, he recalled the calls for national peace and the understanding that Commander Chávez always made.
«Commander Chávez always said, after February 4, no more blood, no more violence, no more pain. February 4, 1992 happened because it had to be that way, but violence can never triumph again, “he stressed.
Diosdado Cabello: Venezuela is free!
Before Maduro’s speech, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), God given hair, stated that 31 years after February 4, 1992, there is a Bolivian National Armed Forces (FANB) united to the Bolivarian Project.
“Although we were few, today we can observe a FANB united to the Bolivarian Project, anti-imperialist, socialist and profoundly Chavista, where each soldier, together with the people, sends a message to imperialism: Venezuela is free!”
In this sense, he said that the “4F rebellion was not against the military. We rise up against imperialism. Today, 31 years later, we see ourselves with the mark of the passing of the years, with children, grandchildren, gray hair and with a great love for the Homeland.
Cabello said that “that 4F we saw ourselves imprisoned, detained and speaking of 27 years who would least touch, and there were signs of demoralization on some faces. Our families persecuted, as well as colleagues from leftist groups.
«There were reasons for this town to be demoralized but a «For Now» was a message from the future. It was enough for Chávez to take to the streets for the people to join in a total rebellion.
