The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted that Venezuela obtained a record participation during the celebration of the 4th National Popular Consultation that took place this Sunday, November 23.
Through his Telegram channel, the president classified the electoral mobilization as a “Total Victory of direct democracy!”
“This is the face of the ordinary man and woman who, with joy, conscience and organization, mobilized in their 5,336 Communal Circuits to choose the projects that will transform their daily lives,” he highlighted in the post.
Likewise, he took the opportunity to thank the Venezuelan people for the congratulations sent on the occasion of his birthday and expressed that he received them “with deep love in his heart.”
Organized and massive participation in the Fourth National Popular Consultation 2025
For his part, the Minister for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, presented a report on the Fourth National Popular Consultation 2025 and highlighted the organized and massive participation of the Venezuelan people.
In his statements, he indicated that “the Popular Consultation has been one of those that has had the greatest participation, because people have seen concrete results and have organized themselves into their own projects.”
In this sense, he reiterated that voters attended the 8,630 electoral centers set up in the 5,336 communal circuits, to be protagonists of a democratic day.
“There was a great democratic party, everything has been very positive, thousands of women and delegates gathered at the electoral centers, we saw a participatory day and many people in the street with the joy that new projects and works will be chosen in their communities,” he highlighted.
He indicated that the instructions given by President Nicolás Maduro were complied with, to ensure respect and protection of the process.
“For this Consultation, thousands of prior assemblies were held to debate the projects. The decision was also made to locate the voting centers where people wanted to participate,” he stressed.
Finally, Prado reaffirmed that the communities’ commitment to participatory and leading democracy was reflected throughout the election day, to strengthen an organizational model that makes it easier to establish priorities and carry out projects originating from the grassroots.
