Deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra reported that his father, President Nicolás Maduro, and the first lady and deputy Cilia Flores, are in good health.
The presidential couple is very aware of the country and “has a lot of confidence in the people who are going to fight and defend the peace and integrity of our territory.”
This was revealed in a meeting with the Minister for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, with the parliamentarian Maduro Guerra, as revealed on social networks.
Prado said that the president is aware of the next National Popular Consultation of the Communes announced by the acting president Delcy Rodríguez for March 8, as a message to the Communal Councils and Communes of the country for the consolidation of the new Communal State.
Likewise, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, commented that President Maduro sent his son, Congressman Maduro Guerra, a message to the Venezuelan people on Saturday. “May there be peace in the Homeland and may the unity of Venezuelans be ever greater,” said the Venezuelan head of state, according to the mayor from Plaza Bolívar.
Kidnapped in the US
The presidential couple remains kidnapped in the United States after the unilateral military aggression on January 3.
After this action, they were transferred to New York, where they were presented before a court.
In this scenario, the president was emphatic and responded to the judge: “I am Nicolás Maduro Moros, I am president of Venezuela and I consider myself a prisoner of war. They captured me in my house in Caracas. I am innocent! I am a decent man!”
Subsequently, President Maduro sent a message of strength and resilience to the Venezuelan people, revealed deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra.
“Through his lawyers, he has told us that he remains strong. He asked us not to give up, to continue forward with integrity, because we are fighters,” he commented on January 11.
Maduro Guerra also denounced the use of disproportionate measures against the national President, arguing that these actions respond to the inability to break his leadership through other means, which is why they use violence.
