Maduro: González Urrutia hides in the networks

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, denounced this Wednesday that the representative of the extreme right, Edmundo González Urrutia, is hiding by doing politics through the networks and that through these platforms a fascist coup d’état against the constitutional powers of Venezuela is being planned.

“The fascist González Urrutia did not go to the TSJ summons, it was mandatory for him to go, he intends to do politics on Twitter, he does worse than Juan Guaidó, Guaidó part 2. He did not go to the TSJ because he only recognizes the National Electoral Council (CNE), but when they called him to sign the document recognizing the results, he said that he did not recognize the CNE,” said the President.

Former opposition extremist candidate Edmundo González Urrutia refused to appear before the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) on Wednesday, despite being summoned by the highest judicial body to provide all electoral evidence of legal interest regarding the electoral process of July 28.

On this Wednesday morning, Gonzalez Urrutia He published a statement on his social media where he expressed his refusal to attend the hearing scheduled by the TSJ, after claiming “defenselessness.”

Urrutia ignored the institutions of the Venezuelan State, especially those of the National Electoral Council (CNE), whose results declared President Nicolás Maduro the winner, when in another document published on his social networks shortly after the elections he called himself “president-elect.”

However, in Wednesday’s communication, González Urrutia contradicted himself and used as an excuse for his failure to appear before the TSJ that doing so would mean “usurping the functions of the Electoral Power,” thereby ignoring the powers of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Republic.

After noon, the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ recorded González Urrutia’s absence from the TSJ.

Likewise, the head of the Judiciary, Caryslia Rodríguez, explained that the former candidate also had to submit “what was required in the ruling of this jurisdictional body and has not attended the summons that was reported to him to be present today before this Electoral Chamber.”
