Maduro denounces terrorist attacks against Gurí and refineries

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, denounced on Monday that the refinery complexes and the Gurí hydroelectric plant are being targeted by terrorist attacks “to harm the people.”

“The Paraguaná refining complex suffered a terrorist attack. On Saturday night the El Palito Refinery had also received an attack on the electrical system, also a terrorist attack,” Maduro warned in a meeting at the Miraflores Palace with the national leadership of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Executive authorities, governors and mayors.

Maduro warned that the refineries are being attacked by “infiltrated, hidden enemies,” and denounced that behind these plans is “the savage right, sells the country,” and Colombian President Iván Duque.

“Recently the Guri Hydroelectric Complex received two attacks on the operating system, they are attacking the electrical system, the refineries. Alert the security system, alert the working class, oil, electricity, alert people’s power and as I said in the private meeting, alert governors and governors », he added.

He said that these plans seek to “harm economic, social, and political life,” the country’s stability and functioning.

For this reason, he indicated that the Oil Minister, Tarek El Aissami, is meeting with the oil working class to take measures and reinforce the “safe operation of our country’s refining complexes.”

Resistance against sanctions

Regarding the smear campaigns about the progress in terms of recovery that Venezuela is going through, Maduro indicated that the real dilemma should be how to recover the country in the face of “the damage that the empire has done with its sanctions.”

Who hurt Venezuela? US imperialism, its allied countries, hitting the economy », she stressed.

He regretted that there are people who try to cover up this fact and not mention it. “We have resisted against the sanctions, we are seeing a rebirth of Venezuela,” added the president, while he asserted that the country “is going to fully recover from everyone’s efforts.”

All this, he said, will lead to recovering the macroeconomic and macrosocial markers.

“A new era of transition to socialism has begun that forces us to change everything towards 2030 and beyond. The rentier state was left behind, now it is a state of justice, democracy, popular, diversity and productive. Today our agenda has to be concrete, popular, of solutions », he added.

1×10 against the bureaucracy

Maduro affirmed that the 1×10 Good Government system, which allows the national government to connect with the population directly with the Patria System and the VenApp social network, is a method that “knocks down bureaucracy.”

“With the 1×10 there have been complaints about problems with water, gas, telecommunications and we are attending to them immediately,” he said.

He reported that 325 cases have been reported through the VenApp social network, of which 50% have been treated.

He ordered the Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units (UBCH) to register the 1×10 that the PSUV has for electoral campaigns.

“What is coming here is a government of the people, for the people and a rebirth of the revolution and popular power. Revolutionizing everything, ending bureaucratism and indolence », he said.
