Maduro declares women murdered by the commandos as martyrs

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, declared Mayaury Silva and Cirila Gil, two women who were vilely murdered in Turmero and El Callao, respectively, by the “comanditos” of the extreme right, during the terrorist actions following the vote on July 28, “martyrs of the Bolivarian Revolution of the 21st Century.”

“I ask for the most sublime tributes for them as martyrs of this anti-fascist Revolution. This Revolution is humanist, Christian, socialist, Zamorano, also anti-imperialist and anti-fascist. I claim the anti-fascist character of the Bolivarian Revolution at the time when fascism is advancing in Europe, in South America, the United States and beyond,” the Head of State stressed during the ceremony. meeting with the national leadership of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and the allies of the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP).

In this regard, he assured that thanks to the rapid action of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the State Security Agencies and the organized People’s Power, it was possible to prevent these terrorist groups led by the former presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutía, and María Corina Machado from causing hundreds of deaths in the country.

“They took advantage of the electoral campaign to organize a fascist shock force and seize power in Venezuela,” he stressed, while acknowledging the military personnel who also lost their lives in these events.

He said that the events that have occurred in the country in recent days have left a great lesson for all of Venezuelan society, making it clear to all the people what fascism is and how it acts.

“It is impossible, out of hatred, pettiness and ego, hidden interests, to try to impose on the country its exclusive and elitist project. That is why fascism has failed in the homeland of Bolívar, that is why fascism will never come to power in Venezuela, we will never allow it. We were born to defeat fascism and see the homeland grow,” he exclaimed.
