President Nicolás Maduro reiterated the importance of the Congress of the 5 Generations, which will debate the 7 Transformations and the new way of governing with the people throughout the country to consolidate the Bolivarian revolution and make it more efficient.
“We have the responsibility to lead the country. That is why, through the Congress of the Five Generations, a process will begin that will shake up the foundations and rethink everything that needs to be rethought,” said the president.
He called for a deep process of debate among the five generations, with a broad vision of different comrades and different points of view for a national agreement. “The assemblies and debate dynamics have already begun,” he said.
For his part, the Vice President of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, said that there is a great expectation of “turning the page on those who have tried to leave the country in the past and confronting it with the historical vision proposed by the revolution for the next 30 years.”
Menéndez said that this Congress has two fundamental characteristics: the topics and the scales in which they will be debated. He said that in a first wave that begins tomorrow, grassroots assemblies will be held, then there will be communal circuits or their equivalent in the forms of organization by sectors, “the natural dynamics in the territory will be respected.”
He added that “the debate process that we have proposed for Congress is a direct debate, from the grassroots, in spaces of encounter and consensus,” which will then be raised to other instances of discussion.
He indicated that there are three fundamental themes for this day of debate, such as: the repoliticization of the people, territorializing the 7T plan and collecting proposals for a more efficient and dynamic government.
In the program Con Maduro +, information was given that the result of these agreements will be uploaded to a computer platform and that they will then be systematized to monitor their full compliance.
President Maduro called for the multiplication of Commander Hugo Chavez’s blue book, so that it reaches all generations. “In four years we should have the goal of 6,000 communes in the process of consolidation,” the president requested.
