President Nicolás Maduro congratulated Gaston Browne on his re-election as Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, on election day held this Wednesday on the Caribbean island.
On behalf of the people and Government of VenezuelaMaduro congratulated through a statement published this Thursday the success of the leader of the Labor Party of Antigua and Barbuda in the recent electoral journey.
In addition, he applauded the “civic and democratic attitude of the Antiguan people, who exercised their right and will as citizens, placing their trust in the current management.”

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan People and Government, congratulates Prime Minister Gaston Browne, leader of the Labor Party of Antigua and Barbuda, for his re-election, obtained on the successful election day held on January 18, 2023.
Venezuela applauds the civic and democratic attitude of the Antiguan people, who exercised their right and will as citizens, placing their trust in the current management.

General elections in Antigua and Barbuda
After the general elections held this Wednesday in Antigua and Barbuda, the Labor Party (ABLP) achieved victory led by the Prime Minister, Gaston Browne, who was re-elected for a third term, according to a report by Telesur.
Browne thanked the people for placing their trust in the caucus after winning 1,295 votes in his St John’s City West district, according to preliminary figures released by the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC).
For its part, the main opposition United Progressive Party (UPP) led by Alister Thomas obtained 621 votes, followed by the National Democratic Alliance, which only reached 18 ballots in favor.
