The president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro, congratulated this Saturday night the new street bosses, women and men who were directly and secretly elected from their communities.
“I want to congratulate you, women and men who assume this responsibility and this commitment to your street, your community, your family and the country,” Maduro said.
Through an audio broadcast by the maximum leader of the red awning through his Twitter account, he reported that during the day more than 260 thousand base assemblies were held, with the people in the street and mobilized.
The also President of the Republic urged the new street bosses to transform this leadership into happiness, prosperity and well-being for the entire community.
«The slogan is clear, to organize People’s Power better and better, unite the leadership of the people and add. Organize, unite and add, victory belongs to us”, stressed the President.
This August 20, the heads of the 269 thousand 730 streets georeferenced by the party were elected, and for the 27th, assemblies are scheduled to be held to choose those from the community, while for September 3, the Units of Battle Bolívar-Chavez (UBCH).
