Maduro commented on the reason he sent the letter to Trump

The president of the Republic Nicolás Maduro commented on the reasons why he sent the letter to his American counterpart Donald Trump, within the framework of his program with Maduro +, number 91. The president said that the letter was sent to try to expand the paths of peace.

The head of state said that “the letter that I sent to Trump did not make public sense”, but “they leaked her for fragments and decided to publish it completely.”

The president indicated that he explained to Trump what the drug trafficking routes are, where the drug is produced and where the drug is trafficked, although he assured that they in the US know well what is the true route they use to commit that crime.

He took the opportunity to thank his Colombian counterpart for the fight that finally some government in that country is doing against drug trafficking. “In Colombia, President Gustavo Petro is risking his life in a brave fight against drug trafficking.”

President Maduro recalled that “70% of all South American cocaine comes out in the boxes of the banana company of Daniel Noboa.”

In this regard, he commented on the seizure of more than 1.5 tons of drugs that was made in Russia, from Ecuador.

He concluded that “that letter had the goal of illuminating the White House with the truth of Venezuela.”
