Maduro: Colonialism is the origin of fascism and Nazism

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stated that 532 years ago the process of resistance against colonialism and slavery took place, which left Nazism and fascism as a legacy.

“In the DNA and genes of the ruling classes, the monarchies and the elites of Europe, and their direct heirs in the United States, was the origin of fascism, Nazism, and Francoism because they had committed these crimes and tolerated them.” in its historical memory,” said the first national president this Monday during the broadcast of the multiplatform program With Maduro +.

Maduro dismantled the narratives of “discovery” and the “meeting of civilizations” imposed for years in a doctrinaire manner.

“No one discovered anyone, in any case the one who discovered something was us who discovered the criminals, the murderers, those who came to kill, to rape, to make our people sick. That is the only discovery we had,” he lashed out.

He criticized that “no one has asked for forgiveness, they take refuge in the ideology of denialism. From Spain, this barbaric event is endorsed and claimed as a process of civilization.”

The head of state highlighted that Commander Hugo Chávez made the indigenous peoples visible and projected them into the future, turning them into a constitutional letter.

On the other hand, the Minister for Indigenous Peoples, Clara Vidal, praised the mobilization of the indigenous communities carried out on October 12, in which they vindicated the resistance of the native peoples.

Vidal expressed that through the Communal Circuits in indigenous territories, care is organized for the members of these communities and indicated that studies were established to preserve the languages and linguistic niches of the Venezuelan autochthonous ethnic groups.
