The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, closed this Saturday the International Anti-Fascist World Festival For A New World, in which more than 2,000 delegates from 125 countries participated.
He thanked the participants for attending the festival and said that the proposals that have emerged demonstrate the vitality that this movement is gaining.
“On behalf of all of Venezuela, I thank you for coming to this unprecedented day,” said the President, affirming that “we are in peace, in democracy, in full exercise of our national sovereignty and the People are advancing in this new stage.”
Great global anti-fascist alliance
Maduro said that this movement must advance in the formation of a great anti-fascist global alliance.
In this sense, he pointed out that the mobilization capacity must be built and articulated in all towns and cities, building forces of great impact in Social Networks, the fields, neighborhoods, universities, to fight and transform our countries.
Previously, the participants cited a document written by more than two thousand representatives of the event, in which they expressed their firm support for the Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
João Pedro Stédile of the Landless Movement of Brazil expressed that “at this crucial moment in the global class struggle, it is vital to articulate trenches in each of our countries. It is not enough to be in solidarity with Venezuela, Cuba and Palestine; It is necessary to fight in our lands. “They won’t pass!” he said.
Venezuela, beacon of global struggle
Stedile highlighted President Nicolás Maduro’s firm stance in defending self-determination and social justice. “Venezuela remains a beacon in the global fight against fascism and imperialism.”
“Under his leadership, Venezuela leads the fight against all forms of exploitation and dominates the international stage with a focus on justice and unity. “They will not pass!” he stressed.
More than 2,000 delegates from 125 countries participated in the forum, accompanying the swearing-in of Nicolás Maduro as constitutional president on January 10.
Festival Resolution
The Resolution of the World Festival of the Anti-Fascist International For A New World proposes:
• Continue advancing in the organization and consolidation of chapters of the anti-fascist international in each of our countries, regions, continents for the fight against fascism from our territories towards a global platform under the accompaniment of an executive secretariat of the anti-fascist international.
• Creation and implementation of the anti-fascist international think tank. Called the Caracas forum to establish spaces for strategic analysis and anti-fascist praxis in each country, region and continent. It is proposed to convene in the first half of 2025 a great world meeting of thought tanks organized by the Executive Secretariat of the Anti-Fascist International.
• Launch in the month of March the “seedbeds of the new world” training camp, an initiative taken by youth colleagues who participate in this articulation. This program and initiative aims to train young people from all over the world to be leaders committed to construction. of a new world.
• Holding the world anti-fascist meeting of the religious sector.
• International meeting of political training schools from the global south.
• Develop community initiatives that allow the anti-fascist movement to take root in the popular bases that we have in each organization.
• Launch of the popular, anti-fascist feminist international on March 8th.
• They held a world anti-fascist congress of the indigenous peoples of our continents.
• Convene a world meeting of jurists against fascism in 2025 to establish legal and legislative strategies to confront fascism and its similar expressions.
• Summon the people of the world to strengthen the anti-fascist international as an instrument of collective existence.
• Transform the twenty-fifth year into a milestone to move towards a world of peace, equity and emancipation.
Through political parties, cultural and popular organizations, intellectuals, indigenous peoples, young people, students, workers, parliamentarians, communicators, personalities from more than 125 countries, they took an oath in which they underline their commitment to the People of Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolás Maduro.
