Nicolás Maduro called on the communities to have a “deep debate” in the fourth popular, neighborhood and communal consultation that will be held on Sunday, November 23.
Through a message on his Telegram account, Maduro congratulated “the high participation” of the communities during this weekend in which they discussed the community projects that they will present in the consultation.
«We are ready and willing to choose projects that generate well-being for the communities. “Today more than ever, participatory and leading democracy is real in every street and commune,” he wrote.
He noted that more than 2,500 assemblies were held throughout the country, in what he considered the beginning of “a new system of direct and neighborhood democracy.”
This Saturday, the Minister of Communes, Ángel Prado, highlighted that with this weekend’s activities, the National Electoral Council’s schedule for carrying out the consultation process that will take place on November 23 began.

The first was held on February 2, the second on April 27 and the third on July 27, the same day the municipal elections were held. In this consultation, 5,336 projects for the country’s youth were selected, according to the information disseminated.
With these consultations, the ruling party assures, the aim is to prioritize projects according to the interest and needs of the communities.
