The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured this Wednesday that the far-right María Corina Machado fled the country.
“It turns out that the old man (González Urrutia) left a month ago and the sayona (María Machado) also left,” he stated.
From the Ríos Reyna Room of the Teresa Carreño Theater, during an event to present financing for the 2024 Coffee Communal Plan, the head of state hinted that Machado is in Spain and that he first sent a person, whose name was not revealed, very close to her.
“He sent ahead someone whose name I cannot say, very close, who takes photographs, go ahead, you will wait for me there and I will go until the end (…) Until the end, he left, until the end in a very good tavern there in a place in Spain,” said Maduro.
Earlier, the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, stated that Machado was hiding in an embassy.
“It cannot be that a political group calls people to the streets, and it is the common citizen who puts the dead, the blood and the anxiety while they are happy in Madrid or right now, right now, under the bed in a embassy, she,” Rodríguez stressed, referring to the far-right leader María Corina Machado.
It should be noted that on Monday the President of the Republic, during his weekly program, assured that Machado is outside the country.
Let us remember that on September 7, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez reported that after spending several days at the Spanish embassy in Caracas, the former far-right candidate Edmundo González Urrutia decided to request a safe passage to leave the country.
